Yes, we offer our service to all authors who have the rights to adapt their work into an audio book.  The fact that a book has already been published by a publisher makes no difference. We do not want to judge whether your book could be a radio success or not. Only your listeners will decide that.

We will, however, advise you openly and honestly on whether your subject is suitable for an audio book and how we assess the chances of success. Your personal reputation, your activity on social media and the fact that you organise public readings, for example, all play a role.

In addition, we always reserve the right to reject content if it is harmful to young people or incites hatred.  

The description is simple:

1. You choose a voice and we evaluate the guaranteed budget for the production of your audiobook.

2. If you agree with the budget, you get to know us in a non-binding meeting. We discuss what is important to you and share our experience with you.

3. You place a binding order and make the budget available against invoice by bank transfer.

4. During a briefing, a list of questions is asked to the narrator and producer and everything that needs to be taken into account (e.g. pronunciation of names) is communicated. During this briefing, we define the style of narration of your audio book together.

5. We send you the rough cut of the finished voice recordings for content verification and approval.

6. We incorporate all corrections, even if this means that the narrator has to return to the studio. We then deliver the mastered audiobook to you according to international standards of quality and volume as *.mp3 and *.wav files.

7. You decide whether you want us to distribute your audio book worldwide for a contractually agreed period.

We calculate a price of a few cents per word. This price includes the amount paid to the narrators and all production services (but not distribution and marketing services).

The price per word depends on the choice of narrators and the total number of words. A very short book has a relatively higher price per word, because the organisational expenses for a short book are no less important than for a long book. 

There are always differences in the pace of speech. You can never tell exactly whether a book is 9 hours or 10 hours long. But when it comes to invoicing, this can already represent a price difference of up to 10% if all the participants (narrators, editing, mastering) invoice at the end according to the length. 

We assume that between 9,000 and 10,000 words are spoken per hour in English. We deduct a price per word which includes everything: Narrator, editing and mastering. We assume the “risk” of a 10% price variation due to the final duration!
